HOW TO USE What is this? A real WAV → Akai program converter. Drop in your own samples and get back byte-accurate Akai program files (XPM keygroup XML, or real chunk-structured AKP / PGM binaries) ready to load onto your sampler. Who is it for? MPC and S-series owners who want their own WAVs turned into loadable Akai program data fast, without programming every keygroup by hand.
  1. Drag and drop your .wav files into the drop zone above (or click to browse) -- each file becomes its own Akai program.
  2. Pick your Akai Format -- XPM (MPC1000-5000), XPM v2 (MPC Live/X/One/Force, samples written at 24-bit), AKP (S5000/S6000/Z4/Z8), or PGM (S1000/S3000, experimental).
  3. Toggle Vintage 12-Bit Engine for the classic MPC60-style bit-reduced, decimated, saturated crunch -- applied to your real audio.
  4. Set a Root Note for the program metadata, then press CONVERT WAV(S) TO AKAI PROGRAM(S) -- a .zip with your WAV + program file pairs downloads automatically. Free.
  5. Load the samples and program file(s) into your sampler via USB, SD card, or your usual preset workflow.
